“We were lucky enough to work with Lambert’s Dove Release as part of our wedding. From the initial consultation through to our special day Viv made it all so easy. She colour coordinated the basket to our wedding and was so calming with the way she instructed us.

She helped and encouraged us with the doves and it gave us such a free feeling. Releasing the doves gave us both a symbolic feel of releasing our old lives and embracing the new. Overall, we loved everything about the doves and would recommend to anyone!”

Funerals

“For me having the opportunity to release a dove on the day of my husband’s funeral enabled me to send all the love and some of the pain that I was carrying on my shoulders with nowhere for it to go. When I lost my someone special, I felt lost and completely hopeless and releasing a dove enabled me to feel I was able to do something for my husband and it also gave my step children and our daughter the chance to send their love too.

My daughter is a very visual child and doesn’t express her emotions in words due to anxiety, so being able to release a dove was her way of expressing how much she missed her Daddy, without being anxious of talking aloud to anyone.”

“I had lost my dad and Jewish funerals are pretty immediate, but after the soil has settled it is customary to have a stone setting. In Dad’s case it was just under a year later. I thought this the perfect time to book some of Viv’s doves.

My dad had a very difficult life, especially his last few years, the doves as part of the ceremony was a perfect way to let go of all the pain and the terrible loss. We had six for family members including me. It was beautiful. Doves are so beautiful for moments of joy and the release of pain and Viv is wonderful caring being. I highly recommend.”

I knew the dove symbolised peace and love and with that in mind, I held it gently to my heart and found that I was able to pause, go inwards and give love and thanks to my lovely Mum. There was something quite magical about watching the dove fly upwards when it was released. It was a powerful moment as I imagined it carrying my prayers and love and as I watched it soaring above, I felt lighter and a quiet stillness came over me.
